As the creative mind and force of JAMIESON STONEWORKS, LLC for twenty one years, Michael transforms blocks of stone and marble into beautiful art sculptures and functional creations.

His hand cut stonework is unique in its texture and style, drawing its inspiration from the magnificent architectural stonework within Tuxedo Park, NY. His studies include Sculpture courses under the famed Wendel Castle at Brockport University, Stone Carving at the Northern NJ Arts Center with Joan Fine, Leonard Agrons and Eric Laxman. In addition to his membership in the Stone Foundation of America, he is a Certified JAHN Stone Repair System Installer working in limestone, sandstone, basalt, quartzite and granite. An avid learner and creator, he travels the US attending lectures, clinics and expositions to further his craft.

After 9/11 Michael searched his heart and soul and created one of his most remarkable pieces, a memorial to honor the people of Rockland who perished on that fateful day. Situated in front of the Orangeburg Town Hall in Orangeburg, NY this hand carved eagle and American flag is created from 10 tons of granite stone. As a true labor of love, taking over 180 hours of time to create, this sculpture endures as a lasting tribute to the memory of the heroes of 9/11.
