Casa del Sol
104 Main Street
Nyack, New York

casa_2.jpgCasa del Sol has proven a favorite among Nyack patrons since opening in 1997. As they approach their 10th Anniversary, owners Jorge and Gina Cambre continue to dish up exciting Latino cuisine and diverse entertainment-- all within the vibrant glow of their "indoor courtyard". Leaving behind corporate America and Palm Beach resort experiences, the couple created Casa with an eye toward fine food and drink served in a relaxed, eclectic setting where music, dancing and celebrations abound. And whether a table of friends and family in the dining room, the 'Friday Night Guys' at the bar, or the committed, friendly staff--the long-standing regulars who consider it “La Casa” are always on hand to pull in newcomers with passionate recommendations, tall tales and a ready laugh.

"Casa del Sol's festive atmosphere and mouth-watering menu make it the hottest spot on the Hudson. The cross-cultural dishes range from the American Southwest to Brazil and the Caribbean, with many delicious stops along the way." --Michael McVey, 'Where To Eat in Nyack'

"Best Latino, Best Margarita" --Journal News, 'Best of Rockland'

casa_1.jpg "Rich dishes and elaborate wedding cakes like the one in Laura Esquivel's novel "Like Water for Chocolate", rarely cross the border...How nicae, then, that the menu at Casa del Sol transcends the usual tacos and enchiladas in favor of more adventurous dishes...featuring Caribbean duck, Cuban chicken... [the] guacamole is first-rate...and a Spanish crème brûlée and banana chimichanga decked with walnuts, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream almost makes one forget old loves." --Fran Schumer, New York Times Restaurant Review

Casa del Sol gleefully spins a little fun and Latin Flair on their unique version of Fine Dining. Family gatherings— Intimate dinners— Love at first sight (9 couples met & wed to-date!)— Even dancing a spicy salsa with Oompa Loompas on Halloween— It’s always an event. Is the magic in the Margaritas? There's only one way to find out…

Call ahead for reservations, a full schedule of live music or to inquire about the Showers, Weddings, Birthdays and Reunions that past patrons still rave about.
