 What an incredible new addition to Nyack’s retail parade….The “Unique Boutique” on 88 Main Street, Nyack, NY…what a magical, whimsical ensemble…the Owner’s (Mother and Daughter) Gladys Foster (from Aden Jewelry) and Dawn Foster transform the once “Verizon Wireless Store” to the funkiest Boutique that Nyack has every experienced!!
Nyack was craving for a Boutique of this nature…somewhat resembling a “Willy Wonka” and “Martha Stewart” atmosphere all wrapped up together to create this theatrical but yet sweet experience as soon as you enter through the door! An experience you only imagined finding in the most chic yet artsy boutique in Soho but located right here in Nyack!!
They carry the funkiest and most unique items from “Candy Trees” made of all the most popular chocolate funsize candy, chocolate fountains, to glitzy one of a kind piece jewelry from Aden Jewelry(now part of the boutique), unusual enticing décor, festive swarowski chandeliers, and the most over the top items that you just can’t resist buying! They have lamps that appear to look like lamps but are made of all wax and are candles…this was told to me when I admired what I thought was a lamp and was told that it was a candle! “What an unusual unique gift I blurted out to give to the most difficult person to shop for…I excitedly said wrap it up”!!
 As I continuously pranced through the store rummaging through the remaining treasures throughout…I came across a sparkly, festive ensemble that was marked “Authentic Belly Dancing Costume”! Heidi the artsy, enticing, Store Manager that seemed to be almost created from an Artist palate to perform in the store, came from behind the counter. She was wearing the bottom part of this Belly Dancing costume as a belt over her unique whimsy clothing and showed me other ways you can wear it…! She showed me how to use it as a scarf around the neck and head…”What a great gift…wrap that up as well I said excitedly”1
“Unique Boutiques” décor is to die for…they have authentic antique pieces that they use as displays that are all for sale. From beautiful picture frames, candelabras, retro scarves and mitten sets, to all the funkiest décor for every persons taste…this is just a sprinkle of what you find at the “Unique Boutique’s all at moderate pricing….!!
When I was handed the gifts I purchased all wrapped up so creatively in “Martha Stewart” like gift bags with colorful paper, bows so tastefully done, I was sold that this is one of the best places to shop… “Unique Boutique” just filled the last void in what was missing in Nyack and now here to stay as long as the dreams and imagination of the store owners keep flowing….
